BIO
Hal Bichel grew up on a farm in Wisconsin with a 28.8kbps modem and a pile of Star Trek novels for company. She played a lot of MUDs and eventually made her first website in Notepad at 13 years old. To this day, Hal has never really kicked the habit of front-end dev . . . or Star Trek.
In 2005, Hal moved to Minneapolis to attend the University of Minnesota. She graduated in 2009 with a BA in English and, having met some great friends in the local science-fiction and fantasy community, stuck around.
A cat herder by nature, Hal maintained a World of Warcraft guild for a decade and has been keeping the peace as an admin on many different Facebook groups for a number of years. She’s taken the leadership feat several times and has a lot of points stacked in Charisma and Wisdom. Constitution is a dump stat, so don’t sneeze around her.
